2017-2018 Outdoor Archery at Brighton Bowmen

Brighton-Bowmen-Outdoor-Range

Venue

The small field at The Longhill Sports Centre, Longhill High School, Falmer Road, Rottingdean, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 7FR.

Dates

Our outdoor club sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays beginning April 2018.  Dates and times will be found on our Club Diary nearer the time.

Range Set Up and Take Down

Please assist with setting up and taking down the range. There is a range safety layout document in the storage container. Our outdoor range assessment document can be found here .

Important note: our range is used by the students and staff of Longhill High School and by other sports clubs.  Shooting, therefore, must end 30 minutes before dusk to ensure that all equipment is removed from the range and stored securely in the container.  This also provides time for the retrieval of lost arrows.

In the event that a lost arrow cannot be found, the staff at the Longhill Sports Centre must be informed before members leave the campus.  Additionally, the owner of the lost arrow must return to the field the next morning no later than 7.00 am to find it.

Sports Centre staff should be notified of the outcome of the following morning’s search no later than 9.00 am on that day.

Guests

Regardless of your age, experience or skill level, you are welcome to shoot with us as a guest.
